About this blog

Voices from communities is a place where you can share your stories from the field around the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) from anywhere in the world.

WASH is important for women, men and children, not only for improving their lives, but also for poverty reduction and economic development.

So please share your human WASH stories and clear pictures with the rest of the world. They may also appear on paper in our Source Bulletin. You can do this by sending your stories to: camacho@irc.nl

The blog was set up by Caridad Machin Camacho, the Project Manager of Source published by the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre. Other sector organisations are also invited to contribute: create an account at WordPress.com and post a request to become a contributor in the comment box below.

“Stories in this blog do not necessarily reflect the views of IRC. Stories are published in good faith to promote better communication and community voices. IRC is not responsible for the completeness, accuracy or reliability of any information contained in this blog.”

  1. I’d like to suggest to also make a link, promote and start using the WASH/IWRM sector wide tag and twittergroup #wash4dev and while we are at it the tag / group #win4dev for the Water Integrity Network.
    Comments welcome.
